Loving Each Other in Big and Little Ways

Every couple of weeks, he surprises me with a lovely plant or fresh bouquet. Earlier this week I was trying my best to process some new information that we got and prayed about. On top of that, I started missing my mom and wishing she was still alive.

2 dozen roses that Tim gave me “just because.” It just happened to be a couple of days before Valentines. 😍

To have a best friend like my Sweetheart is such a great blessing in my life and one I thank the Lord for everyday. I just had to tell him that I was struggling and ask him to pray for me. So, after having to work all weekend, I was looking forward to a nice hug and seeing him home again. Instead, he surprised me with two dozen roses to go along with it. I think he knew that it would make me smile!

I love all the little things and big things that he does for me. I also still cherish the memories of when he’d ride his bike home from work years ago and get something special for me on his way home. After spending 10+ hours at work teaching young officers to fly, he’d stop on his way home and pick up some tiny wildflowers on the way. I loved putting them in a cup of water to enjoy. I loved that he knew me — that he knew even wild, flowering “weeds” would be special to me! ❤️
