Exercising with Family & Friends
Exercising can be a lot of fun when you exercise with your friends. Among other things, they can help push you further than you'd push yourself. They can also help keep your mind off the pain that exercise sometimes brings. You know what they say, though, "No Pain = No Gain**."
As a mommy or daddy, exercising with your children can be a lot of fun too. Not only does it keep them busy (and out of trouble), the activity and bonds you build together will benefit both you and them physically and emotionally!
A Simple Routine
In the above video, we followed the following routine:
- Complete the following exercise as a superset (no rest between exercises): Pushups (20), Situps (30), Lunges (20), Wheelbarrows (across the room, yard, etc or until you drop), and son (or daughter) rows (10).
- Rest 30-60 seconds
- Repeat for 3-4 sets
Even though we had a lot of fun, we were all a little sore after we finished our exercise routine. That means it was a good workout.
Check back next week for another family workout routine!
**Disclaimer: We strongly recommend that you consult with your physician prior to beginning any physical exercise program. There is always the possibility of injury when participating in any exercise program. If you choose to do the exercises in this video, you do so at your own risk. Additionally, while the saying, "no pain, no gain" is very popular, pain is an indicator that something may be wrong. If you're feeling pain, shortness of breath, diziness, etc., it is wise to stop exercising and consult with a physician.
