Peace in Midst of Panic
Stores out of toilet paper, people fighting over toilet paper, meats at an all time low at the grocery store, social distancing, church meetings cancelled, and so much more — it can be hard to be breathe and just let go.
In Philippians 4:7 KJV Paul’s says “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Again, the peace of God which passes all of our understanding — even the understanding of all of the geniuses that ever lived — will keep my heart, your heart, my mind, your mind in Christ. What a wonderful promise!
“Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 and “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 What great and amazing promises He gives us.
We can cast all of our anxieties, all of our fear, all of our doubt upon Him. We can take this burden of COVID-19 and hand it to our Savior. We don’t need to carry this weight. He didn’t give us this burden to carry. So why do I try to carry it? Why do you try to carry it? We must cast our burdens on the Lord! He can take it.
What a thought it is that one day we will leave this earth that is overcome with evil and meet the Overcomer face to face and, one day, live in a new world that has no evil, no murder, no cancer, no COVID-19, no sickness, and no death. “...but be of good cheer...” Cheer up brother and sisters! He has overcome the world.
So, stay safe and be of good cheer because we know the Overcomer!
How can we be praying for you? What needs do you have right now? Our resources are limited, but we serve a God who owns the earth and all that it contains. With God, all things are possible!
