Happy 15th Birthday to Our Island Girl!
Today is another special day for us! Over 15 years ago, Pelaiah’s daddy was deployed on a humanitarian mission in the Indian Ocean which kept him away during the last months of my pregnancy with Pelaiah and her birth. During one of her ultrasounds, the tech asked little me, “Is your husband tall?” I said, “Yes, he is! How did you know?” The length of her bones — primarily her femur perhaps — looked longer than a normal, Asian or Chamorro baby. At birth, you couldn’t have told by her weight and size. She was pretty tiny and slender, but she came out with a beautiful, full head of hair. We were so surprised!
Pelaiah, we love you dearly! Happy 15th Birthday to you, our precious island girl! We love your tender heart and how you love to help others. We enjoy hearing how the Lord continues to teach you many wonderful things! The way you play the piano has not only moved us but many other people as well. We are thankful for you and pray that the Lord continues to use you to encourage and bless many people! You’re such a gift in our lives, dear daughter! Mwa!
