Encouragement for Our Current Books and Projects
A lot of our friends have asked us to post the books we’ve made and products that we sell. We're so thankful for everyone that wants to encourage and support us in our business endeavors! This video makes my heart happy because Priscilla wanted to read my books even though we have a ton of library and other books! 😍📗📚
Confession: We hardly get any sales for our books, and I’m usually fine about that. I was struggling with our lack of book sales recently when we were on our TN trip. I cried a little while in Chattanooga, wondering if we were wrong in discerning God wanting us to invest thousands of dollars and a lot of time illustrating, producing, and learning how to publish our own books and run our publishing company, Wholesome Press (WholesomePress.com).
I felt like a failure. Only Tim knew my struggle and prayed with me. Then, we went to Knoxville for Carlin & Evan’s wedding. During the reception, one of the Bates' younger children went up to Tim and told him how much her nieces and nephews love my books and choose them as their first book to read every night -- especially the I Know You Love Me, Mommy and Daddy book (which we’re planning on relaunching soon with improved pictures of the paintings and a modified title)! Tim encouraged her to tell me that encouraging news, and she did! I was so incredibly encouraged and happy to hear how much my books were being enjoyed!
Weeks later we went to NW Arkansas, and another encouraging thing happened. I try not to say specific names out of fear of upsetting anyone but will go ahead because I think that it may be fine this time. Ben Seewald, Jessa Duggar Seewald's husband, said that he would rather receive any of our new children’s books over other gifts or baby items. He told us which of our books they enjoyed. He had no idea how much I needed to hear that!
More than a year ago Jessa told me that Spurgeon absolutely loved my Count Them with Me book and even shared a video on Instagram with the book. I so much wanted to share that online as I hardly get any feedback about my books, but I decided to keep quiet about it until now since so many requests keep coming in from people who love us.
So thank you for your love and encouragement! It helps us to keep publishing books and blessing families with the money that comes in. It also helps with our health needs and healing. Love you!
